First Glimpse of the Kingdom, an acrylic painting by Campbell River artist Jill Paris Rody, proved the most eye-catching entry in the 33rd annual Members Exhibition, which wrapped up in May at Campbell River Art Gallery.

Paris Rody’s entry received the most votes from the hundreds of visitors to the exhibition and was awarded the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Photo Tech. Honourable mentions went to Karen Martin Sampson and Heather Koning.

As the 33rd Annual Members’ Exhibition at the Campbell River Art Gallery wrapped up The exhibition, co-presented by the Gallery and the Campbell River Arts Council, featured the works of 87 regional artists in a wide variety of styles.

The exhibition, sponsored by Campbell River Lawyers Shook, Wickham, Bishop and Field, drew hundreds of locals and visitors during its six-week run. This year’s show featured everything from watercolours to oil paintings, acrylic paintings, collage, fibre art, sculpture and more.
