Ailsa Sirois of CR Dance Xtreme is one of several dancers who will preview the school’s competitive routine.

The talented dancers from CR DanceXtreme will hit the stage for two shows Saturday, Feb. 13 to provide a sneak peak into this year’s competitive routines.

Sneak Peek Into Precision takes place at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Tidemark Theatre, with partial proceeds going to benefit Cameryn’s Cause for Kids Society. CR DanceXtreme is looking forward to an exciting 2016 competitive season and the Sneak Peek is the perfect way to begin.

Dancers are looking to improve on their successful 2015 competitive season with this year’s brand new group and solo routines.

Last year, CR DanceXtreme’s competitive dancers, known as Showteam, took home numerous awards such as Top Overall in jazz, tap and hip hop, and Best Overall Studio, at the Shine Festival in Vancouver.

In Las Vegas, the dancers won awards and were asked to compete in the Dance Gala, which honoured the top eight scores in each age division.

As well, five CR DanceXtreme dancers auditioned against hundreds of competitors throughout Canada last year and were chosen to be part of Team Canada at the World Hip Hop Championships in Italy in October, 2015.

Last but not least, CR DanceXtreme’s dancer, Emiko Koizumi, won first place at the BC Provincials Stage 1 dance division.

The last person from Campbell River to win that prestigious award was CR DanceXtreme’s owner Shawna Sloan.

“It is a great honour to teach such wonderful and talented kids,” Sloan said. “Their hard work and dedication is a true testament to how strong they are as dancers and performers.”

Mark Saturday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on your calendar to see this year’s jazz, hip hop, tap, modern, lyrical and musical theatre performances.
