Campbell River Chiropractor Dr. Janis Guthy is showcasing her recent photo-art and sculptures at the Tidemark Theatre until Jan. 29.
Dr. Guthy is a multi-media artist who works in areas such as painting, sculpture, and photo-art. While integrating her love for costume and set design, Dr. Guthy created a series of fantasy photo-art prints for this show. Her nine-foot winged Centaur and his partner add a phantasmagorical three dimensional aura to the display.
Dr. Guthy has been an artist most of her life, having published a series of limited edition prints, and having been represented by the Rubin Gallery in Chicago. Recently she graduated with a B.FA from Emily Carr University. Her website called, ‘guthy galleries’ will be active shortly.
Her art works can be viewed at the Tidemark Theatre between the hours of 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
