Campbell River choral fans are in for a treat on Sunday, July 8.

A topnotch young men’s choir from Australia will be performing at the United Church on Pinecrest at 8 pm as part of a Canadian Tour.

The Birralee Blokes will have just finished competing at the World Choral Festival in Powell River, and so will have a varied, polished and highly-entertaining program.

The Birralee Blokes’ participation in this prestigious choral celebration guarantees that Campbell Riverites will hear a fabulous concert on Sunday night.

The Birralee Blokes are dynamic young men, between the ages of 13 and 22, who love to sing and perform together. Hailing from Brisbane, the group was formed in 2003 with a view to provide young men with the opportunity to sing.

It’s a philosophy that has really worked: they have captivated audiences around Australia and won the hearts of millions of viewers with their amazing performance on Australia’s “Battle of the Choirs” program. They are conducted by Paul Holley.

Tickets are $10, available at the Visitor Centre downtown or at the door.
