Annual Garden and Art Tour will open your eyes

This year’s event features 14 Campbell River gardens, including six that are new to the event

All garden and art enthusiasts will love the Campbell River Art Gallery’s annual Garden and Art Tour.

This year’s event features 14 Campbell River gardens, including six that are new to the event. Visitors will be able to see artists at work in the gardens on tour days.

The tour is a unique opportunity to explore a diverse mix of gardens, including several with unique artistic features and another with pillows made of flowers: a mingling of fresh creations and mature designs. There will also be an opportunity to chat and exchange tips with the gardeners, while observing artists hard at work.

The Campbell River Garden and Art Tour is sponsored by Royal LePage Advance Realty Campbell River and raises funds for children’s art programs. The tour takes place from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th.

Tickets are $16 and are available at the Campbell River Art Gallery, the Visitor Information Centre, the Willows Farm Market & Garden Centre, and the Comox Valley Art Gallery. This ticket includes garden descriptions, a map, and lunch discounts of 15 per cent at the Royal Coachman Pub and Boston Pizza.

If you’d like a ride to the gardens, join the City’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department van tour. Call the Community Centre at 250-286-1161 to find out more.
