Aladdin swirls into town this weekend

Join Aladdin as he ventures into a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade and even Sinbad the Sailor when Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students perform an original musical adaptation, Aladdin.

The local cast features Riley Rombough as Aladdin and Luceiia Dinney as his mother. Jamilya Wellard is  Princess Dory and Owen Wellard plays her father, the Sultan, and his adviser, the Grand Vizier, is played by Robert Gurney.

Abigail Broadhurst and Sarah Baines are the keeper of the Book of Answers, Dinazade, and her sister Scheherazade.

Shelagh Dinney is The Mysterious One and Ava Pywell, Savannah Loock and Jordann Warner are the mischievous Genies.

A stubborn Donkey and spunky Goat are played by Anyah Matheson and Jasmin Tomlinson.

Scheming Cassim and Ali Baba are played by Lucas Milne and Cade Morgan.

Sinbad is Jake Aune and his Sailors are Keeley Sahota-Elves, Austin Gurney and Emma Bellrose.

The wise-cracking Palm Trees are played by Aleah Jordan and Katelynn Thompson and Destiny Hua.

Elizabeth Bettenson and Grace Beselt are fleet footed Camels.

The Cave of Wonders are played by Sage Ashley-Deeth and Hannah Barnhart, Vagabonds are played by Makena Holt, Jarah Worthing, Madalyn Laidlaw, Addison Dinney, Cale Morgan, Emory Clark, Layla Whittle and Lily Doherty.

A pack of lost Penguins are played by Grace Collins, Holly Doherty, Grace Cara-Vack, Layla Thornton, Sarah Barnhart, Noah Campbell, Kirma Elves, Everlee Alexander, Molly Flohr, Olivia Castro, Madison King, Dylan Wise, Marley Burnett, Alexis Reise, Taylor Croft and Gwen Whittle.

Serving as Assistant Directors will be Ember Becherer and Michelle Sewell.

Aladdin will be presented Jan. 30 at the Timberline Theatre at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door one hour prior to each show.
