La Tee Da Lingerie Boutique is collecting donations of undergarments for women residing in Ann Elmore Transition House.

Many times, when women in crisis arrive at the Ann Elmore Transition House, they have little more than the clothes on their backs.

One of the obvious needs that these ladies have is undergarments such as bras, new panties, sleepwear and robes.

Stevie Turley, owner of La Tee Da Lingerie Boutique wants to help and is appealing to the women of Campbell River and area to have a look in their dressers and closets to find any gently used undergarments and sleepwear which can be donated.

“When I had a discussion with staff at the Transition House, I was saddened to hear that they pretty much had no clothing, particularly undergarments, on the shelf to help their clients,” said Turley.  “At La Tee Da Lingerie Boutique, we have always maintained that supporting women is our business, so it seemed natural to team up with the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society to do something to help the women who access their services.”

“We have already filled one box with bras and panties.  One lady dropped off a dozen bras alone.  The response has been heartwarming.”

La Tee Da has been supporting the Ann Elmore Transition House for years with their gift wrapping by donation program.

If you have any suitable undergarments that you no longer wear for whatever reason, drop them off to La Tee Da, located at 1042 Shoppers Row in downtown Campbell River. As a thank you for your donations, La Tee Da will give you a 15 per cent off coupon good on your next purchase before the end of September.
