Get outside and enjoy the sport of geocaching.

Geocaching, the equivalent of modern-day treasure hunting, is a great activity for adults and families – and people are doing it all over the world, at night and even in a marine environment.

If you’d like to try geocaching, join Clinton Crook for an introductory session on using basic GPS and then head outdoors to discover the fun of logging your first cache.

The session takes place at the Sportsplex on Saturday, October 5 from 9 a.m. ‘til noon. Cost is $20, and the program is open to people 16 years and up.

A GPS or Smartphone is not required, but if you have one, bring it along. Geocaching apps can be downloaded for free to your Smartphone.  To register or for more information call the Sportsplex at 250-923-7911.
