Exciting changes are coming to the Raven Park and Baikie Island area.
Beginning this week, the Rotary Club of Campbell River, in partnership with the Campbellton Neighbourhood Association and the City of Campbell River, will begin work to create a more welcoming, nature-focused entrance.
As part of this restoration effort, the existing asphalt parking lot will be removed and replaced with native vegetation. A new, more accessible parking area will be created at the Ocean Blue site, adjacent to and just north of the existing parking lot, ensuring visitors continue to have convenient access to the trail network.
Home to riverside trails, abundant wildlife, and beautiful scenery, the Raven Park and Baikie Island area is a treasured part of our community. These upgrades reflect a shared commitment to celebrating and protecting its natural character while enhancing the visitor experience.
The project is expected to be completed this spring. Visitors are asked to follow posted signage during construction and to use the new parking area once it opens.
