“No boys allowed” as girls are in charge at the Sportsplex on the next Pro D day.
On Thursday, Nov. 1, the Sportsplex will be filled with girls in grades 4 and 5 as the ever-popular girls-only Pro G Day program takes over the facility from noon to 3 p.m.
This fun-filled three-hour program will get girls dancing, playing sports, enjoying games and competing in challenges. They can choose from activities taking place in two different rooms and the two gyms throughout the afternoon.
Some of the best instructors in Campbell River will lead the girls in Irish dancing, yoga, racquet sports and more. This includes sessions led by coaches from Crush Volleyball and the Campbell River Soccer Association.
When they need a break, there’ll be a room for craft projects or sitting back and being transformed by the professionals at Detailed Face Painting. Pro G Day gets the Sportsplex hopping. Last year, 75 girls participated, and this year we are expecting even more. The $7 entry fee gets them access to all the activities, drinks and lunch.
