Join a Ladies Evening Fundraiser for Diabetes this Saturday, at the Campbell River Community Centre Lounge.
The evening, featuring The Pampered Chef and Lia Sophia Jewellery, begins at 7:30 p.m. This special event is to raise money for the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA).
Diabetes is the leading cause of death by disease in Canada.
More than nine million Canadians have diabetes or pre-diabetes and the CDA’s goal is to raise awareness, so people can lead healthier lives. The CDA funds world class research, provides services and education across the country, as well as supports local programs such as an annual weekend at Camp Homewood (on Quadra Island) in May for children with Type 1 diabetes and their families.
