On Thursday, Oct. 1, Variety - The Children’s Charity, recognized 13 of its most outstanding members and volunteers at the 46th annual Red Heart Awards Celebration, an honoured tradition saluting the teamwork involved in helping children with special needs.
Well-known local Variety fundraiser Nick King accepted the inaugural Variety Kid Champion Award for his long-time support of the charity.
Accompanying King were his parents Allison and Roger, and sister Madison.

For 50 years Variety has been there for families, ensuring children have support to reach their unique potential.
Since 2010, Variety has distributed more than $9 million in funding to families in B.C.
