Campbell Riverites congregated near the pier and Maritime Heritage Centre parking lot to mark World Ocean’s Day – a day to remember the life-giving role of oceans.
The day has been celebrated internationally since 1992. In Campbell River, the BC Salmon Farmers hosted the event which included ocean exhibits, salmon print making, face painting, live music, and food vendors.
The day also coincided with the opening of the new aquarium.
