Habitat for Humanity has a new executive director

The Board of Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North is pleased to announce that Patrick McKenna will join the organization as executive director as of May 4.

McKenna is a long time resident of the Comox Valley and comes to Habitat with extensive experience in leading two major retail stores in the Valley.

With his extensive business background and board experience, McKenna looks forward to growth and Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s capacity to build more houses for families each year, as well as expansion of the ReStore in the Comox Valley and in Campbell River.

The staff is looking forward to working with McKenna, whom they have worked with on “Build Days” and who has always been a strong Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North supporter.

“I am so excited to be joining Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North” says McKenna.

“I have always had a passion for building community. To be able to connect that passion with my work life is an exhilarating and a rewarding opportunity.”

Habitat for Humanity is a national, non-profit organization that believes in affordable housing for all.
