Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North (HFHVIN) donated a house to the Homalco First Nation (HFN).
The house, which was situated on an upcoming Habitat build site in Campbell River, was relocated to HFN land rather than demolished on Feb. 27.
Through this partnership, the HFN will refurbish the home over the coming months, offering a valuable resource for the community.
The partnership looks to preserve housing stock, create cost-effective housing solutions, demonstrate social responsibility and build meaningful partnerships with local First Nations by repurposing, relocating, and refurbishing existing homes.
