Greenways Land Trust is holding its annual general meeting on March 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Centre's Thulin Room.

Greenways will also be presenting their annual Woodpecker Awards to honour the contributions of some of our most dedicated volunteers. The meeting will also feature guest speaker Rhianna Nagel, who is manager of the Centre for Applied Research, Technology and Innovation at North Island College, for a presentation, titled: Collaborative Mariculture Research and Innovation in Coastal B.C.
Nagel will talk about the dynamic seaweed and shellfish sectors in coastal B.C. She will also share examples of collaborative research and innovation projects for ecological restoration, regional economic development and cultural revitalization.
