Francophone school École Mer-et-montagne is holding a public information session to get interested parents up to speed on a program that can prepare children for kindergarten.
“Since last year, we have had the pleasure of participating in a program – Tiens-moi la main j’embarque,” says Micheline Hanson, secretary at École Mer-et-montagne. “The objective of this program is to provide children and their families with the tools necessary to make an easier transition into kindergarten.”
The school is holding an informational meeting for this year’s program on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at École Mer-et-montagne (1102 South Alder).
Parents of children born in 2009 are invited to come and learn more about the program and to register their child for kindergarten for the 2014/15 school year. Children are also welcome to attend.
Parents and guardians are asked to call the school at 250-923-3359 before the meeting to determine whether their child is eligible for enrolment at the Francophone school.
