Volunteers are needed to join Greenways Land Trust and Tim Hortons in their annual Broom Bash – this year to be held at the entrance to the Raven Trail on the Campbell River on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Spring has sprung in a big way, and the Scotch broom is blooming, so now is the best time to be cutting broom to keep it under control and protect our native plants.
This is always a big event, and Timmies will be providing coffee and timbits.
What more do you need?
Wear a sturdy pair of shoes and sensible clothes – gloves and cutting equipment are provided, and Tim Hortons will supply a t-shirt to every volunteer. Lots of fun, fresh air and exercise.
Meet in the parking lot at The Brick store in Campbellton.
