Jim Crieghton has been nominated for the 2012 Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour

Jim Crieghton, a well-known musician and event organizer in Campbell River, has been nominated for the 2012 Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour, commonly known as the Stephen Leacock Award, for his recently released book, Elk Falls BC.

The award is an annual literary award presented to the best work of humorous literature in English by a Canadian writer. The award is a tribute to well-known Canadian humorist Stephen Leacock (1869–1944), and is accompanied by a cash prize of $15,000.
