Volunteers have been putting in many hours at the Museum getting prepared for the 2018 used book sale.
Volunteers and staff, many of whom have been involved in the book sale for several years, say they have never seen such a large number of donations come in.
“The number and quality of books that have been donated this year is impressive,” says Museum book sale coordinator Erika Anderson, “this could be our best book sale yet.”
The books range along a broad spectrum of subjects, including fiction of all types and almost any topic of non-fiction that you can imagine. With so many books coming in, there are sometimes special collections that are donated.
For example, this year a large number of knitting books in excellent quality and condition were donated, including some knitting books written in Japanese. There was a large donation of aviation titles, and there are also far more children’s books this year than in the recent past.
The book sale is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.
