A resident of Forde House is able to make her way around Forde House more easily thanks to local building supply stores coming together to provide material for hand rails.

Forde House, a seniors residence in Willow Point badly needed hand rails in the hallways of each of three floors to assist those with mobility issues to better get around.

The call went out, with Pioneer Home Hardware, Rona Home Center, and Windsor Plywood stepping up to the plate and each donating enough rails and hardware for one floor.

The residents of Forde House and the board of Willow Point Supportive Living Society expressed gratitude to these three businesses for their donations to a local non-profit society, and to their managers, Allison Kilby (Pioneer Home Hardware), Shaun Baird (Windsor Plywood), and Lawrence Frank (Rona Home Center).

“You people and businesses, with your generosity, are appreciated more than you can imagine by the less privileged and by those of us who struggle to support them,” Terry Fulton, Willow Point Supportive Living Society manager said.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
