Thanks to a donation from the Willow Point Lions Club, Summerside Express, a summer camp for teens with special needs, will be able to offer amazing excursions this summer.

The Willow Point Lions Club has donated $2,000 to support Summerside teens as they venture to Denman Island and Victoria on three-day excursions that promote independence and summer fun.

“Summerside Express has a 27-year legacy as a community recreation program in Campbell River, and we’re very grateful for this support from the Willow Point Lions Club,” says Ross Milnthorp, the City’s general manager of parks, recreation & culture. “Their efforts to raise this money and the commitment to community service and Campbell River teens through this contribution are exemplary. Their donation is greatly appreciated by all the participants and staff of Summerside Express.”

The Willow Point Lions Club has been active in Campbell River since 1978. For specific information about Summerside Express registration, please contact: Mark Lerner, at 250-286-1161 or via email to mark.lerner@campbellriver.ca.
