Celebrate 45 years of child care

The society is at a stage where it has enjoyed the feedback of children who are now adults

The Campbell River Child Care Society is celebrating 45 years of offering services to families and children in Campbell River.

The society is at a stage where it has enjoyed the feedback of children who are now adults woven into the fabric of the community, and many other communities.  The society has also witnessed the vital role that early care and learning plays in the lives of families and children.

Research has piled up to confirm the critical importance of thoughtfulness and vigilance in supporting families in their role of nurturing the next generation.

The Campbell River Child Care Society has tenaciously clung to the goal of providing early care and learning programs for children 12 months to 12 years of age and their families for the last 45 years. There have been many challenges.

There are more ahead, but now they celebrate.

Three centres have been contributing to the community: Hemlock Early Learning and Care Centre, Leishman Early Learning and Care Centre, and Willow Point Children’s Centre.  Join the celebration at the Leishman Early Learning And Care Centre, 394 Leishman Road, on Saturday from 12 – 3 p.m.
