The Royal Canadian Legion Club, Branch No. 137 of Campbell River donated $5,000 to the Campbell River and District Adult Care Society recently.

The funds will go towards the care society’s Adult Day Program which exists to assist seniors and veteran members in the community to live in their own homes for as long as possible.

The Adult Day Program offers social activities and entertainment, peer interaction, group exercises and mental stimulation, a nutritional hot lunch and snacks, transportation to the centre and outings, monitoring of medical conditions and medications, nursing support, toileting, feeding and mobility assistance.
