Dancers from Solstice Studio will once again be performing at this year’s Rotary Honours Concert on March 9 at the Tidemark Theatre.

The annual Rotary Honours Concert, showcasing the exceptional creative talent of Campbell River's young people, is taking place Sunday (March 9) at the Tidemark Theatre.

The award-winning performing artists selected to show off their skill will not only highlight their artistic ability but also demonstrate an impressive range and diversity that is flourishing within the community. The performance lineup will feature dancers from Urban Dance Connection, Solstice Studio of Performing Arts, Studio North Dance Academy, CR DanceXtreme, Kathy Mascia School of Dance, soloist Rebekah Draper, and students from the Timberline Musical Theatre program.

"It speaks to the incredible dedication of the teachers and parents in keeping the artistic threads of the past alive to pass on to future generations," reads a Rotary Club of Campbell River media release.

The New Generations Avenue of Service, established as Rotary's fifth "Avenue of Service" in 2010, enhances the efforts of Rotarians working with youth and young adults. An annual highlight of this commitment is the Rotary Honours Concert, called the "Gift to the City," which showcases and celebrates the artistic talents of outstanding young people in the community, according to the Rotary.
