Campbell River seniors are cooking again

The Campbell River Seniors Society is resuming its weekly lunch program

The Campbell River Seniors’ Centre Society is back in business, but this time at the Sportsplex.

The group is serving nutritious lunches, which range from soup and sandwiches to full cooked meals and delicious desserts with a choice of coffee or tea.

Monday through Friday the centre is open from 12 noon until 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.

As the new year approaches, the seniors will endeavour to increase the hours they are able to open, with the co-operation of the city staff.

The seniors are hoping to welcome back all 600 members of the seniors society, as well as all the 50+ members at the Sportsplex and Community Centre to give the lunches a try.

Society membership is not required as efforts are being made to unite both groups.
