The Campbell River Minor Hockey Association Hurricanes Under-15 girls scored big on Nov. 19.
The team received a $500 donation from the Campbell River Ladies Auxiliary. The donation will be used for equipment and travel costs, among other needs.
"The Association promotes minor hockey, stressing fun, respect, sportsmanship, fair competition, development, and safety for minor hockey players," says Catherine McKenzie, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary spokesperson.
Sharon Hippolt, president, says the Auxiliary is pleased to support the team with funding.
