Carihi Secondary School has five new electric guitars to help rebuild the school's guitar program after a fire last year.
Bruce Bower Guitars donated the custom-designed, handmade guitars. The fire, which occurred on Nov. 21, 2024, destroyed many of the school's instruments.
"When Bruce heard we lost so many instruments in the fire, he reached out and wanted to help," said Joe Shields, the school's guitar teacher. "He not only gave us the five guitars he made, but sets of strings, picks, and gig bags for each instrument."
