Black Creek is getting ready to host its first annual Midsummer Celebration this Saturday

Black Creek is getting ready to host its first annual Midsummer Celebration this Saturday.

The outdoor event features live music from Corwin Fox of Cumberland, Courtenay singer-songwriter Joey Clarkson, and Juno-winner Helen Austin.

Families are invited to ring in the first day of summer with salmon burgers, local beer and mead, fire spinning, flower head-wreath making, and lots of kids activities.

On the beautiful acres at the Black Creek Comunity Centre (2001 Black Creek Rd.), Midsummer Celebration runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children and $25 for a family pass. All profits go towards cultural and recreational programming for children and adults.
