Another community literacy resource is officially open for “business.”

Troop leader Dionne Lanqvist and members of 1st Campbell River Brownies celebrated the installation and opening of their “Little Library” behind the pool at Centennial Park Saturday.

The theory of the library is that people will come remove and drop off books whenever they want, and the Brownie troop will maintain the unit itself.

For anyone looking to get rid of some now-outgrown children’s books, the library is located right behind the concession and entrance to Centennial Pool.

Here’s a video of the loading of the library and a bit about the “why” of it all.
