It is with great sadness we said good bye to a special friend who was a part of our family.

Ken passed away peacefully at the age of 88 and had lived life to its fullest. Born in Star City, Saskatchewan. He worked in the oil fields as a sales manager for Dresser Industries before moving to Quadra Island where he started a guiding business. He later moved to Campbell River where he retired at the age of 55.

During his retirement Ken was very active always walking (with his love Penny, the cocker spaniel), did many fishing trips with David and liked golfing with Larry Brown. He also enjoyed hiking, kayaking, squash, weiner roasts and our family get togethers. He will be missed by his good friend Marge Holbrook as well as other family and friends.

Thank you to the staff at the Campbell River Hospital who took care of Ken until the end.

"Smile and the whole world smiles with you" he used to say this to our kids all the time.

We will miss you Ken, "Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened".

David & Dawn, Cory & Amy, Jesse & Tianna, Ryler, Jaxx & Georgia, Blakeley & Kaycee, Frank & Louie.

Rest in Peace. We will celebrate Ken's life at a later date.
