Nicholas Benner won gold in the 100m breaststroke special olympics along with a bronze in the 100m I.M. and had a fourth-place finish in the 200 m freestyle.

Campbell River athletes fared well at last week’s BC Summer Games in Abbotsford.

Zoe Garlinski-Gonsky came home with gold in towed water sports, girls 14-17 slalom and a bronze in trick, narrowly missing out on the podium with a  fifth-place finish in jump.

Joel House won gold in his weight category in boys wrestling (78 kg).

Nicholas Benner won gold in the 100m breaststroke special olympics along with a bronze in the 100m I.M. and had a fourth-place finish in the 200 m freestyle.

Corinne Holmes took home second place in girls wrestling (54 kg), Tess Bodenham added another silver in girls wrestling (57 kg), Caron Bradley Dunn won bronze in the 800m freestyle and Ashley Adie won double bronze in the special olympics female 100m backstroke and 200 m freestyle.
