Campbell River Storm come back with a victory in game two of the Cyclone Taylor Cup

The Island champs have a one win, one loss record after storming to victory over the Creston Valley Thunder Cats

The Campbell River Storm put a shaky game one behind them and surged to a 6-2 victory in their second game last night in Cyclone Taylor Cup round robin play.

The Storm lost their opener 6-0 to the Beaver Valley Nighthawks on Thursday but seemed to have found their legs against the host Creston Valley Thunder Cats, defeating them 6-2 at the Creston Valley Community Complex last night.

The Storm got goals from Carter Hikichi (2), Aaron Brewer (2), Dylan McCann and Colin Blake.

The three stars were Hikichi, Brewer and Kobe Oishi. The Storm’s goal was being manned by Chase Anderson and shots on goal were 32-30 in favour of the Thundercats.

The Kodiaks are the Storm’s next opponent today at 3:30 p.m. The Thundercats had won their opener 2-0 against the Aldergrove Kodiaks but the Kodiaks are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Beaver Valley Nighthawks last night.

All games are at the Creston Valley Community Complex.
