The Atom A Tyees took on a visiting team from China at Ron Brind’Amour Arena on Wednesday.

The Beijing Little Wolf Hockey Club are travelling all over Vancouver Island Feb. 3-16. They were invited by Chinese businessman Ray Zhang, who is the owner of the BCHL Junior A team, the Cowichan Capitals. The Beijing team wore Cowichan Capitals sweaters while playing the Tyees.

The AAA Chinese hockey team consists of atom (9-10 years) and peewee (11-12 years) age players and the goal is to provide the Chinese players with competition that they are not able to get in Beijing.

A good crowd was on hand at the Brindy to cheer on the locals and visitors alike.
