The Atom A Tyees made a rainy trip to Victoria in an attempt to redeem themselves against the JDF Grizzlies who beat them 6-2 in their previous encounter.

The first period proved to be fairly evenly matched with the Tyees edging out the Grizzles 2-1 with goals by Cale Livingston and Hunter Auramenko.

The Tyees were motivated to win though and they created multiple scoring opportunities through great passing and back checking resulting in four goals in the second period by Hunter Auramenko, Trace Garceau, Riley Skuse and Daimon Gill.

With a 6-2 lead in the third the Tyees solidified the win with two more goals, one by Hunter Auramenko and one by Beau Murray.

It was a great team effort and puts the team in a perfect mindset for their next game against Nanaimo.

The team is super excited to be hosting the travelling Beijing Little Wolf Hockey Club on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Brindy (Rink 1). Fans are invited to come out and cheer on the teams in what will inevitably be a memorable experience for all the players, families and fans.
