Tyees even up in barn burner
The Mainstream Biological Consulting Peewee B Tyees had a great weekend of exhibition play starting with a barn-burner of a game at Bear Mountain Arena versus the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies on Saturday.
The Tyees were down 5-0 at the beginning of the second period, but stayed in the game and fought back hard to end the game in 6-6 tie.
On Sunday, the team hosted the Comox Valley Chiefs at Rod Brind’Amour Arena, a team they lost 7-1 to in the playoffs. The Tyees continued to play well together this time leading the scoring from the start, while the Chiefs managed to only get one by the Tyees with a final score of 5-1.
The peewee B Tyees play Nanaimo at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
