Peewee Hurricanes Tripped Up: The Campbell River Peewee Hurricanes were tripped up 4-1 by the Peninsula Eagles on Saturday, despite this effort by a Hurricanes forward (in red). The Hurricanes controlled play at times but could not find the back of the net. The eagles’ goalie made some timely saves and the girls missed some chances. The Eagles took a 1-0 lead after 1 period and stretched their lead 3-0 after 2 periods. The eagles extended their lead to 4-0 early in the third before the hurricanes found the back of the net for their only goal scored by Julianne Nelson assisted by Sydni Rose. The Hurricanes sit at 3 wins & 4 losses on the season. Next up for the Hurricanes is a home game against Cowichan Valley Capitals Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Strathcona Gardens’ Rink 2.
