Wilma Flynn (nee Dingwall)

March 23, 1928 - September 23, 2017

Eunice Wilma Flynn passed away peacefully in Ladysmith on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. 

Wilma will be deeply missed by her son Floyd (Donna) South, granddaughter Laura South and grandson Shawn Phillips, also daughter Patricia (nee South) (Kim) Mackey, grandson Richard (Shelley) Davidson, grandson Derek (Erin) Davidson, grandson William Davidson and granddaughter Heather Mackey.

Wilma also leaves behind ten great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as eight step children.

She is predeceased by husband Carlin South and husband Lloyd Flynn, parents Margaret and William Dingwall, brothers Allan, Munroe, Jack and Eric Dingwall, sisters Jean, Mary, Jessie and Dolly as well as great grandson Dylan Davidson and son-in-law Gary Davidson.

Wilma was born in Comox and spent her childhood in Courtenay, the youngest daughter of the pioneer Dingwall family.

She lived in numerous towns on Vancouver Island during the course of her life. A short time in Penticton, and many years in Victoria where she was employed by Beautiful British Columbia Magazine.

Wilma will be fondly remembered by many for her delightful poetry she penned for her friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage House in Victoria and the Lodge on 4th for their many years of compassionate care and friendship.

There will be no service, however those who wish may donate to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
