It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Violet (Vi) Nissen on Friday, December 23, 2011, at Yuculta Lodge in Campbell River, B.C. She was born Violet Murphy on Oct. 24, 1917 in Viking, AB., and was a resident of Campbell River since 1946. Vi married George Nissen in Edmonton, AB. on Aug. 9, 1944. Vi leaves to mourn, her husband George, sister Kay Nickerson and numerous nieces and nephews. Vi and George owned and operated the Campbell River Florist for many years.The family wishes to thank Dr. Ness and the staff of Yuculta Lodge for their loving care of Vi. A memorial tea is to be held at Yuculta Lodge on Sunday Jan 8th at 2:00 p.m.. Donations to the charity of your choice.
