Fred Levasseur

September 12, 1923 – February 12, 2009

Fred was born in Ottawa, Ontario and passed away at Yucalta Lodge, Campbell River with his loving family by his side.

Fred was a proud member of the Canadian Army for many years. He was a Veteran of the Second World War serving with the NATO Occupation Force and the UN Emergency Forces in Egypt. He was stationed in many parts of Canada which included Whitehorse, Yukon , Borden, Ontario and Kingston, Ontario.

Fred was pre deceased by his Parents, three Brothers and four Sisters and his beloved Son Terry, three Grandsons and three Great Grandchildren.

Fred is survived by his beloved Wife Joan, his Daughters Kareen (Lee), Frances (Allan), Linda (Roy), Rosemary (Peter) and his Son John (Billie), fourteen Grandchildren and Poppi to Thirty Great Grandchildren who loved him dearly.

A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 17th 2009 at St. Patrick’s Church, Campbell River the Rev. Father Vince Borre officiated. Cremation followed the service.
