FRANKLIN,

Ruth V.

October 19th, 1928 ~

May 10th, 2008

We say goodbye to our beloved Mom, Grandmother and friend.

Ruth was born, raised and married in Brandon Manitoba.

Married to Ken a Manitoba Hydro employee, they traveled around the province raising 3 boys. As most Manitobans Ruth became a very avid curler and golfer. Ken was suddenly taken and a few short years later Ruth moved to Langley, BC and eventually settling in Campbell River in 1993. With her curling and golfing years behind her she turned her energy to bowling, knitting and painting while always talking about her grandchildren. One could never come between Ruth and her grandchildren.

Over the last few years Ruth fought hard through her illness but peacefully passed away in Campbell River Hospital. Her family Tom and Darlene, Jim and Joanne, Rick and Tracey, and grandchildren Leanne, Brad, Curtis, Justin, Matthew and Mark will greatly miss her but will never forget her.

The family wish to thank the Palliative Care staff at Campbell River Hospital, the Comox Dialysis staff, Wheels of Wellness, the Renal Ward staff at Royal Jubilee, the Hospice folks and a special thanks to Dr. Stugant. Their caring and good work did not go unnoticed.

No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation of BC would be welcomed.
