Born Feb. 28th, 1923 in Camrose, Alberta, she was raised in Princeton and Vancouver, B.C. During the W.W. II, she served overseas in the Women’s Military Band. Upon discharge, she trained as a nurse at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, graduating in 1953. After training as a Missionary and learning the language, she travelled to Wonju, Korea. She helped plan the Wonju Christian Hospital and received many honours during her next 33 years serving in Korea.


Predeceased by her brothers, Don and Lloyd and her sisters, Isabel Dawson and Jean Boulter, she is survived by Lorraine (George) Kuper, Pat (Mike) Cross, John (Janine) Saunders, Fred (Dale) Boulter, John Dawson, Jim (Annette) Boulter.

A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at the Chemainus United Church, May 11th, 2002 at 2p.m.
