June 14, 1939 to September 6, 2016 As Heaven celebrates her arrival, left to mourn her loss and count their blessings for the time spent with Rose are: Rose’s Husband of 59 years Tiny (Elmer Timothy) Dick; Daughter Tammy (Al); Son Michael; Grandson Spencer; Granddaughter Tanille (Guy); Grandkids Dad Ken Johnston (all of Campbell River); Brother Bill Pearce (Port Alberni); Uncle Ted L’heureux (Victoria); 4 Sister in-laws; 4 Brother in-laws; 21 Nieces and Nephews; Great Nieces and Nephews; Great Great Nieces and Nephews, along with many longtime friends and further extended family Rosemarie was born in Hamiota, Manitoba and moved to Campbell River to live with her Mother Mavis and new Father Mickey Pearce in 1948 (parents predeceased). This is where she attended school; went on to work in each of the family businesses; Mickey’s 77 Taxi and then the Quinsam Hotel; meet and marry the love of her life and raise her family. Rose loved cooking, as many will attest her Baking, Cabbage rolls and Chinese food were the best! She also loved gardening and traveling, especially to San Francisco. However, her greatest love was family (which included everyone, blood or not) and of course her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She was the keeper of family details with many reaching out to find out dates and family connections as she always knew the answers. Rose always put family first, right to her last hours on this earth she worried about her family and only took her last breath after she was assured they would all be okay. A special thank-you to the Staff from KDC Health for their years of care; to the nurses on 3 North of the Campbell River District Hospital; to Dr. Douglas and last but not least to Family and Friends including Cindy and Kim Inrig who are always there for Rose and her Family. Rose requested no service be held and her family will honor this, at the same time honor her “Love of Family” at a celebratory gathering on a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Hospice Society, Cancer Foundation through Bill’s Kids Memorial Ball Tournament or a charity of your choice. This is not goodbye only until we meet again John 3:15-16 “Everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”
