Roger Marcel.

Born on June 13, 1951. Passed away suddenly at Victoria General Hospital, 12:35 am on February 13, 2005, from complications sustained from a car accident in Duncan on the Island Hwy. Roger was born in Victoria and has resided on Vancouver Island most of his life. He was well known for his involvement in the car racing circuit. Predeceased by his sister Lynda Summer Harrison (July 21, 1952 - 1952) and his father Arthur John Harrison (Nov. 15, 1930 - March 3, 1980) who was also well known for car racing in the Victoria area. Roger leaves behind his mother and

stepdad Helene and Per Aagaard (Nanaimo). He was a charming and loving son to them both. Roger was a loving and dedicated father to his daughter Marci Harrison (Duncan) age 16. She was his pride and joy. She meant the world to him. Roger also leaves behind his estranged wife Susan Harrison (Abbotsford) and stepson Robert Bors. He also leaves behind his very best friend of 14 years Tina Dyke of Duncan. Roger was the eldest of 7 children and he loved the role of big brother. He helped his mother raise 5 of his siblings Craig Harrison of Cape Town, South Africa, Brent Harrison (Sandy) of Port Hardy, Elaine McGinn (Shayne) of Nanaimo, Scott Harrison of Nanaimo and Morgan (Shelly) Harrison of the Cowichan Valley. Roger was a well loved brother-in-law and cared deeply for those who joined our family. He was a fun loving uncle and spent a lot of time with his nieces and nephews as they

grew up; always taking them to the car races. Leaving behind many fond memories from Elliot Linklater, Andrew Linklater, Summer Muzyka, Chantel Meunier, Brock Harrison, Brandon Harrison, Martin Harrison, Ryan Harrison and Autumn Harrison. Roger also leaves behind many aunts,uncles, and cousins whom reside in Victoria. Roger will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 18. 2005 between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Brenton Golf Course, 2816 Henry Road, Chemainus, BC.
