Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Campbell River Hospital on Monday, July 30th, 2007.
Bob was predeceased by his brother George of Ontario, and granddaughter Shelley Hughes of Campbell River.
He is survived by his loving wife Georgina, son Bobby, daughters Wilma (Tom) Dear, Carole (Bob) Hughes, grandchildren Evan Hughes, and James Todd, great grandchildren Jaymes, and Matthew Hughes.
Bob worked as a machinist in Paris, Ontario for many years, and was also employed by Madillis in Nanaimo. He was an avid fisherman, that could be found at the fishing pier casting his reel, as well as growing his own tomatoes in his garden. Bob also enjoyed his rides on his scooter. He was known as "Mr. Fix It" a name which he earned doing small machine jobs for his family. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Bob was a most loving Grandpa to all his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all.
