It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bob passed away peacefully in the early morning hours with family and friends at his bedside after a courageous battle.
Bob was born in Alma, Michigan and spent over 50 years living in Campbell River. He was an exceptional family man and friend who touched the hearts of many. Bob was predeceased by his wife Lorraine Kathleen Carroll (Nov. 15/99). He is survived by his mother, Estella Conell; sister Elaine Rondeau (Rocky); children Douglas “Butch” Carroll (Edie), Valerie Denroche (Brehon), Alicia Nelson (Stewart); grandchildren Lisa Denroche, Justin Denroche (Angela), Aaron Nelson (Aniko), Amanda Nelson, Niki Carroll, Darcy Carroll, Tara Nelson (Dave); great grandchildren Danika “Squeeky”, Jaedyn, Ryder, Taya as well as extended family and numerous friends.
Sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Sutherland and the nurses at the Campbell River Hospital. Also, a special thank you to his home care team and everyone at Ironwood Place.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Ironwood Place, 1351 Ironwood Street, Campbell River, BC.
