Sadly missed by all who knew him.

Born in Leger Corner, New Brunswick on March 19, 1928, passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital on September 22, 2002. Survived by loving wife Anne (McCracken), daughter Karen, (Moncton, N.B.), stepdaughters Vicki (Ken Menges) and Lori (Ross Cunningham).

Bob began his lengthy career in the Canadian Army, serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Korea, Egypt, Chilliwack, B.C. and Gagetown, N.B. Bob was considered to be one of the best heavy equipment operators in the Canadian Forces. Following his retirement as a Warrant Officer, Bob worked in Boston, Massachusetts and Phoenix, Arizona as a crane operator. He retired in Calgary, Alberta, where he owned and operated a driving school for several years. In 1997, Bob made Campbell River his home. He enjoyed fishing with Ed, watching the eagles nesting from his back porch and listening to Big Band sounds as he admired the ocean view from his front porch.

Bob was Past President of both the Korea Veteran’s Association and the The Royal Canadian Legion in Calgary, a member of the Cranbrook KVA, Branch 36, a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 137, a member of The Eagles, F.O.E. Branch #3097 and REAC.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2002 at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 137. Campbell River, 301 - 11th Avenue. No flowers by request. Donations to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be welcomed.
