Richard (Dick)
Richard (Dick) passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 16th, 2002 at age 71. Predeceased by his father William Chalmers, mother Alice Chalmers (nee Guest) and his daughter, Laura Anne Chalmers. Dick is survived and will be lovingly missed by his wife of 50 years, Shirley; son William (Bill) Chalmers and wife Cherie; grandchildren Lynsay, Trina and Amanda; great grandson Dylan; brothers Murray of White Rock, Duncan of New Westminster, Dennis of Surrey and James of Alberta as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He spent 50 years as an Operating Engineer with Local 115 and was well-known in the coastal construction and engineering industry, having worked on numerous local and regional projects throughout his 50 years in Campbell River. For the past 7 years, Dick was President of Economotive Sales. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 1:00pm from Branch 137, Royal Canadian Legion.
