GARK,

Raymond Marshall

April 28, 1932 –

September 10, 2007

Ray Gark passed away peacefully at home in Campbell River on September 10, 2007. He was predeceased by his first wife Myra in 1988 and his second wife Linda in 2006, his son Les in 2002 and his grandson Clinton Kennedy in 1971. Ray is survived and will be lovingly missed by his daughter Gail Kennedy, his grandsons Corey Kennedy and Ryan Gark as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Ray worked as a faller at Menzies Bay for many years and retired at the age of 65. Ray loved to dance, read any history books but especially naval history or B.C. coast history books and to camp out at the lakes especially McIvor Lake and at Salmon Point. He was a happy, low key kind of man with a great sense of humour. If desired, donations in Ray’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Unit B, 1423 – 16th Avenue, Campbell River V9W 2E4 would be appreciated because cancer claimed both his wives.

A Funeral Service will be held at Church of the Way, 451 – 7th Avenue, Campbell River on Monday September 17, 2007 at 11:00am, with Mr. Gordie Gustafson officiating. Arrangements entrusted to ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES, CAMPBELL RIVER. Interment in Elk Falls Cemetery to follow.
