Patrick Melvin Thompson, born on March 17th, 1940 in Smithers, BC, passed away unexpectedly on October 29th, 2010 in Black Creek, BC. Pat was pre-deceased by his parents, Ernest and Ellen Thompson, brother Lyle Thompson, nephew Jason Scott and niece Adele Thompson. He is survived by his loving family: sisters Shirley (John) Prissick and Irma (Blaine) Scott, brothers Edward (Rose Marie) Thompson and Delmer (Betty Jean) Thompson, nephews Paul and Douglas and nieces Tracey, Laura, Ronda, Dawn, Cari and their children. Pat is also survived by his friends Lynn and Jim McNabb and many other good friends in the Campbell River area. Pat was also a member of the Kinsmen’s Club.
In Pat’s own words… “I expressly wish that there be no funeral or memorial service. If anyone wishes to mark my passing, I suggest that on the day following their learning that I am gone, they have a good day and be kind to themselves and those around them, and if that feels good, to repeat the experience on the days then following”
